How People Use Shopify → BigCommerce

Our Shopify store had 650 products with metafields and variant-specific pricing. I expected the BigCommerce migration to take weeks. The converter mapped Shopify's CSV structure to BigCommerce's import format perfectly — even handled the image URLs across all 15 columns. Done in an afternoon.

Carmen Q.
Shopify Merchant · switching to BigCommerce

The biggest headache moving to BigCommerce was Shopify's multi-row image export. Each product had 6-10 images scattered across separate rows. This tool aggregated everything into BigCommerce's single-row format with images distributed to columns 1 through 15. We kept every product photo without manual re-uploading.

Jordan K.
E-commerce Operations Manager · 1,800 products, 12,000 images

Shopify's tag system and BigCommerce's category structure are completely different. I had 90 tags organizing my catalog and dreaded remapping them. The converter translated tags to semicolon-separated categories and handled Compare At Price to Retail Price mapping correctly. My sale pricing carried over without a single manual fix.

Shopify → BigCommerce Migration Questions

How are Shopify's multiple rows handled?

Shopify exports one row per image. We aggregate all rows with the same Handle into a single BigCommerce product row.

What about customer data and orders?

This tool migrates products only. Customer and order migration requires separate tools or BigCommerce migration services.

Will my SEO rankings be affected?

Your rankings are preserved with proper 301 redirects from old Shopify URLs to new BigCommerce URLs, plus migrated meta titles and descriptions. Search engines recognize content continuity.

Why Shopify Products Don't Import Directly to BigCommerce

Image Structure Mismatch

Shopify exports one row per image (multiple rows share same Handle). BigCommerce expects one row per product with images in 15 columns (Product Image URL - 1 through 15). Direct import creates duplicate products or missing images.

Field Name Incompatibilities

Shopify uses "Title", "Variant Price", "Published" (TRUE/FALSE). BigCommerce uses "Product Name", "Price", "Product Visible?" (Y/N). Without mapping, BigCommerce import fails with missing required fields.

What This Tool Does

We aggregate and transform your Shopify export: - Rows: Same Handle → single BigCommerce product - Images: Image rows → columns 1-15 - Fields: Shopify → BigCommerce names - Weights: Grams → oz, lb, or kg - Prices: Compare At → Retail, Variant → Sale - Status: TRUE/FALSE → Visible Y/N - Tags → BigCommerce categories Import succeeds with complete data and all images.
