How to Import Csv Export to Calendar (2026 Guide)

After converting your data with one of our tools, follow these steps to import the csv export into Calendar.

Import Steps

1

Locate your downloaded CSV file

Find the calendar events CSV file in your downloads folder. The file contains your events with columns for Subject, Start Date, Start Time, End Date, End Time, Location, Description, and other calendar fields.

2

Open in a spreadsheet for editing

Open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets to review and edit events before importing to a calendar application. You can modify event titles, adjust dates and times, add locations, or filter out events you do not want to import.

Tip: When editing, keep the Subject and Start Date columns filled in for every row. These are the minimum required fields for calendar import.
3

Import to Google Calendar

Open Google Calendar in your browser and click the gear icon to open Settings. Click Import & Export in the left panel. Click Select file from your computer and choose the CSV file. Select the destination calendar and click Import. Google Calendar will create one event for each row in the CSV.

Warning: Dates in the CSV must use MM/DD/YYYY format and times must use HH:MM AM/PM format for Google Calendar to parse them correctly.
4

Import to Outlook via ICS

Microsoft Outlook does not directly import calendar CSV files. To import into Outlook, first convert the CSV to ICS format using our CSV to ICS converter, then import the ICS file via File, then Open & Export, then Import/Export in the Outlook desktop app.

5

Verify imported events

After importing, check your calendar to verify events appear on the correct dates with the right times and details. Pay special attention to all-day events and multi-day events to ensure they span the correct date range.

Required Calendar Fields

Field Type Description Example
Subject Text Event title Team Meeting
Start Date Text Start date 01/15/2025

Calendar requires these fields for successful import.

Tip Make sure your converted file is saved and ready before starting the import. You can preview the converted data in the tool before downloading.
