How to Download American Express Transactions
Downloading from American Express
1. Log in to americanexpress.com
2. Go to "Statements & Activity"
3. Click "Download" or "Export" transactions
4. Select date range (up to 90 days per download)
5. Choose format: **Quicken (QFX)**, **Microsoft Excel (CSV)**, or **OFX**
6. Click Download
Note: For more than 90 days, you'll need multiple downloads.
Amex File Formats
American Express offers several download formats:
- **Quicken (QFX)** - Recommended, includes all transaction details
- **CSV/Excel** - Good for spreadsheet processing
- **OFX** - Standard financial exchange format
- **QBO** - For QuickBooks Online (not Desktop)
